Thanks again Claire - your comment make me smile - thinking of those baby turtles too - they are amazing. So glad to make the commitment to Sketchbook Project. It frustrated me at times but now that I'm on the home stretch and can look back at the work I've produced (knowing I wouldn't have done any without this deadline!!)and I know its been worthwhile. I find its different work to that I produce for Etsy or a market because there's a freedom in not trying to think so much about what others want and just letting the ideas go where they please. Good for the soul!
Thank you Emily. Lots of holding my breath whilst I carved the detail, trying to keep the depth shallow in the rubber and not gouge out too thick a line. Was pleased with the result and now hoping to somewhere along the track incorporate my turtle elsewhere!
Makes me think of all those cute little baby turtles scurrying across the beach trying to get to the water.........
ReplyDeleteVery cute and great to have the motivation to try things.
