Bluestone Cottage Drawing

When returning on a quick visit to my birthplace in Victoria, I took some pictures of old buildings that I've always loved. This little bluestone cottage sits on the main road to Barwon Heads and always makes me smile. It's lovely to see it is well maintained and loved by it's current occupants and I've now entered it into my little homes sketchbook of places that make me feel good.

    1. Thanks Jennnie - I definitely feel most comfortable with my wonky style. I have watched my lovely Mum work as a perfectionist in so many of her crafts as I grew up (ripping out rows and rows of knitting for one slightly tight stitch, or throwing away seemingly beautiful handmade fondant flowers for cakes) - but I think I can safely say it didn't quite rub off as she may have anticipated!

    2. I think that a little bit of wonky compliments the rustic charm perfectly. :)

    1. Thanks Kitty - My technique is generally to write and then delete half of it! :) Not sure if that is a recognised method... but as I don't often get more than a quick moment to read a blog I figure many others are in the same boat! C x
